This VDE application guide describes the legal base for operators and manufacturers with regard to training of professional users of devices for near-patient testing. In addition, the implementation of a training considering the responsibilities within the health facility, the content requirements, the methods and the data protection are described. To e-learning as a modern training method is continuously referred. The implementation of the described requirements is supported by practical examples.
