This guide focuses on hardware reliability prediction methodologies, and specifically excludes software reliability, availability and maintainability, human reliability, and proprietary reliability prediction data and methodologies. These topics may be the subjects for additional future IEEE guides supporting IEEE Std 1413-1998.
