Description / Abstract:
(a) This Standard establishes generd requirements for
periodic examination and testing of nuclear power plant equipment
dynamic restraints (snubbers) from presemice inspection through the
life of the plant.
(b) This Standard establisses insemice inspection intervals, criteria, and data requirements.
(c) This Standard is ap;licable to snubbers which effect a function described in the plant Safcty Analysis Report. It is applicable to snubbers whose maIfunction, as determined by the owner, would significantly increase the probability of occurrence or the consequences of an accident or the malfunction of equipment important to safety,
(d) Certain snubbers, as defiin-d in (c) above, may be exempted, in part or totally on a casc-bv~asc basis, from the provisions of this Standard ifjustified by the owner and acccpted Dy the regdatory authority having jurisdiction over the facility.
