Description / Abstract: This Standard defines screw threads for commercial metric mechanical fasteners in sizes 1.6 through 100 mm. Included in this Standard are the basic profie, the diameter-pitch combinations, and the dimensions of the maximum and minimum boundary profiles for the recommended series of screw threads. The boundary profile gages delineated in ANSI B1.19M are used in accordance with that standard for the screw threads of M5 x 0.8 and larger.
