Scope
This Standard covers adjustable wrenches open-end, heavy duty, rack and worm adjustment generally used on both hexagonal and square bolts and nuts. The requirements within this Standard are intended to describe the best commercial quality wrenches available. Inclusion of dimensional data in this Standard is not intended to imply that all products described herein are stock production sizes. Consumers are requested to consult with manufacturers concerning lists of production sizes.
Classifications
Wrenches shall be of the following types and classes.
Type I - Standard Openings
Class 1 - Chrome Plate
Class 2 - Black Oxide or Phosphate Coated
Class 3 - Alternate Finishes
Type II - Wide Openings
